September 11, 2001 is a day none of us will ever forget.
We remember where we were when the news broke. We remember the shock of watching the towers fall. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger to help others.
Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the tragedy, but the courage, compassion, and sense of community that followed.
Today, we honor those we lost, those who served, and those who continue to carry the weight of that day.

What can Berlin, Dresden, and Dachau teach us about democracy today?
A trip to Germany for our Issues Director, Dr. Ellen Brady, became a reflection on authoritarianism, political repression, human rights, immigration, and what happens when democratic institutions are weakened.
These photos from Dachau show a reconstructed dormitory, the outlines of the barracks that once stood here, and the cremation ovens, offering a somber reminder that history may not repeat itself exactly, but it can teach us what to watch for.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the Utahns who keep our communities, businesses, schools, and families moving.
The progress workers have made didn’t happen by accident. Better wages, safer workplaces, and stronger protections were won when people came together and made their voices heard.
