Sharing safety information from Dutchess County Emergency Management for TODAY and TOMORROW:

🚨The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for Dutchess County for BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW from noon through 8pm each day.🚨

The combination of high temperatures and high humidity will lead to heat index values or "feels-like" temperatures close to 100-102°F.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, and stay in an air conditioned area, if possible.

NEVER leave children or pets unattended in vehicles, under any circumstances.

If you or someone you know needs a place to stay cool, visit one of many cooling centers throughout Dutchess County: https://dutchessny.gov/coolingcenters

‼️PLEASE NOTE: Severe weather is also possible throughout Dutchess County late each afternoon into the evening hours on both days. Primary hazards include damaging wind gusts, large hail, and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning. Stay indoors if storms impact your area.
