Hondo had himself a busy night shift 🐾🚔

Early this morning, Hondo responded to assist the Everett Police Department and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office after a vehicle incident led to a search in a residential/wooded area.

Hondo put his nose to work, tracked through some tough terrain, and helped bring the situation to a safe conclusion.

Afterward, he switched gears and assisted Everett PD with a vehicle sniff for narcotics before calling it a night.

Focused when it matters. Happy to work. Always ready for the next job.

🐾 K-9 Hondo stayed on it 🐾

On 01/26/2026, after a reckless driving crash and foot pursuit, the suspect ran, jumping fences and moving through residential yards under the cover of darkness. K-9 Hondo and Corporal Lerma rolled in to help track him down.

This wasn’t a quick find. It was fence after fence, yard after yard. Distractions everywhere, but Hondo never backed off. He kept pushing, kept working, and stayed locked in until he led Corporal Lerma and deputies directly to the suspect.

Strong containment efforts from Snohomish County deputies and the Everett Police Department helped bring the situation to a safe conclusion.

Hard work. Real teamwork. Earned every step.

🐾 Follow-up from our K-9 deployment earlier this week:

K-9 Hondo did his part by locating the suspect 👀🐕. Officers then handled the follow-up investigation and executed a search warrant on the suspect vehicle.

That search resulted in two fi****ms being recovered, further reducing the risk to the community 🔍🚔.

Different roles, same goal — solid teamwork by K-9 Hondo and responding officers to bring this incident to a safe conclusion 💪

🐾 K9 Hondo at work 🐾

Early morning call on 01/24/2026 after a reckless driver ditched the car and fled from an attempted traffic stop. K9 Hondo was deployed to track the suspect through residential areas, fencing, dense vegetation, and water.

Despite difficult terrain and low visibility, Hondo stayed locked in and located the suspect hiding in the creek. The suspect was safely taken into custody.

Solid teamwork from responding officers and another reminder of why K9s are such a critical tool for locating fleeing suspects while reducing risk to officers and the community.

Great work, Hondo 💪🐕
