🚨 Wildland Fire Relief Grant Applications Reopened 🚨

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors across Nebraska, the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association is pleased to announce that we are accepting a second round of Wildland Fire Relief Grant applications.

The NSVFA Board of Directors recently completed its review of the first round of applications and was able to provide funding to every department that applied. While not all requests were fully funded, every applicant received assistance thanks to the overwhelming support shown for Nebraska's fire departments.

As additional donations continue to come in, more funding is now available for departments impacted by this year's wildland fires.

If your department:
🔥 Has incurred additional wildfire-related expenses
🔥 Has responded to additional wildland fire incidents since your original application
🔥 Was unable to apply during the first round

We encourage you to submit an application for consideration.

Applications for the Nebraska Forest Service Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) Grant Program are now open!

This cost-share program helps Nebraska volunteer fire departments in communities of less than 10,000 people acquire equipment, prevention materials and training needed to fight wildland fires. Grants provide reimbursement of up to 50% of eligible project costs. That includes two-way radios, protective clothing, breathing apparatus, and/or firefighting equipment.

Don't miss this opportunity to strengthen your department's wildland fire response capabilities. The deadline to apply is by 10 PM CDT on July 16th.
