Monday, members of the Milford Police Association participated in a Shop with a Cop event at the Milford Target. Massachusetts State Police Troopers assisted as well. Thank you to Target for your generous donation and to Trooper Stevens for coordinating the event. Also a thank you to Jen Ward from the Milford Youth Center for helping coordinate the children chosen to shop with us. We look forward to growing this event and participating every year.

Last night members of the Milford Police Association joined officers from several other agencies to participate in the annual Shop with a Cop event at the Framingham Walmart. There were approximately 150 to 200 officers that helped over 400 children shop for gifts for Christmas. We are proud to donate and participate in events like this and we thank our community for your support in helping us make this happen.

Members of the Milford Police Association shown here with Milford resident Nolan Curley and his family. Nolan was chosen as this years recipient of our annual No Shave November/ December fundraiser. Nolan has been courageously battling an illness and we wanted to help make his holiday a little brighter. The smile on his face said it all and lit up our station.

On Saturday MPA members Sergeant Joe Francesconi and Officer Justin Kuras participated in the annual Special Olympics Cruiser Convoy. This event draws officers and departments from all over the state and is one of the many causes that the MPA is proud to donate to and partake in. Thank you to Joe and Justin for being the face of the MPA and MPD. This is such a rewarding experience for all those involved.

After beginning his career with the Milford Police Dept back in 1994, the men and women of the Milford Police Association want to wish a very happy and healthy retirement to Sgt Edward Varteresian!! Your decades of experience, dedication and mentoring will surely leave a void in our department but we wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter!

The Milford Police Association would like to make the residents and local businesses aware that within the coming weeks you may receive calls from a company known as TCI, who we have partnered with to assist in fundraising for our Association. This weekend, Officer Nate Motuzas played in a charity hockey tournament for Mayah’s Militia which is a 501c3 organization to support childhood cancer and their families. We are proud of him for his dedication for the cause!
