We spent the morning having a blast with water fights — and the kids even got their turn to jump in and give it a go. Nothing better than laughter, sunshine, and a little friendly soaking.

Our next water fight will be in Pleasant Dale on June 27th. Come on out, cheer on the department, and enjoy PD Community Day!

Five of our members dedicated their entire weekend to Fire School in Grand Island — all to sharpen the skills that keep our community safe. They trained in:

🔥 Live flashover and fire behavior simulations
🔥 Advanced SCBA techniques, including breathing control under high‑stress conditions
🔥 Specialized rescue and extrication skills for situations like children stuck in swings, ring removals, grain‑auger incidents, and more.

A huge thank‑you to these committed men and women for always stepping up for our community. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. 🙌

As we get into severe weather season it is important to know the difference in tones that go off in our community.

Tornado Siren: Long Steady Tone
Fire/Rescue: Alternating High/Low Tone

Just a reminder that the sirens will be tested at 9:00AM throughout the county tomorrow and the first Tuesday of every month until October.

Thank you to all those who attended the Milford Elementary PTO Carnival and stopped by to see us! Our firefighters had just as much fun as the kids did spraying the hoses. Looking forward to more events throughout the year!
