On Wednesday, we were happy to award two graduating high school seniors each a $1,500 scholarship based on their community service. Congratulations to Lydia-Grace Sessler and Kayla Markowitz! 🎓

Last night, we had our June general meeting where we inducted five members, Wendy, Taylor, Janna, Tori and Diana!

You’re invited to walk with JWC in this year’s “250th Anniversary Celebration” parade! An email was sent to all 2026 Respect Star families on 5/23 with a link to RSVP. Please reach out if you can’t locate it.

Respect Star t-shirts should be getting dropped off to each school at some point this week. You’re encouraged to wear your t-shirt to the parade!

This month we are highlighting the Junior Women's Club of Milford. The club has a worthy long term affiliation with Keeping Milford Warm, but that's just the start of what these energetic ladies do. They are well known in Milford for their community wide projects supporting the kids of their town. Most notable is their city-wide Spelling Bee and their Respect Star Campaign. Their Touch a Truck annual fundraiser is a big draw and lots of fun for the kids.

Support Our Team for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

We’re stepping up to make a difference! The Junior Woman's Club of Milford is participating in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to support the R**e Crisis Center of Milford, Inc., serving Ansonia, Derby, Milford, Orange, Seymour, Shelton and West Haven, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of sexual assault and misconduct and to prevent future instances through education.

Every step we take—and every dollar we raise—helps provide critical services like counseling, advocacy, and education programs for those affected by sexual assault.

How you can help:

Donate: Your contribution directly supports survivors and community outreach.
Join us: Walk alongside us to show your support and raise awareness.
Share: Spread the word to help us reach our fundraising goal.
Together, we can take a stand against sexual violence and walk toward a safer, more compassionate community.

🌟Our Respect Star program is currently underway in Milford’s elementary and middle schools! 🌟

This is a program we’ve been proud to facilitate since 2017, with each student receiving a Respect Star certificate, t-shirt and the opportunity to walk with us in the Memorial Day parade (we’re always the largest group!).
