The Sullivan County MU Extension Council, in partnership with Maximize Northwest Missouri, invites residents and community partners to a county-wide forum on Monday, October 5, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Milan Community Center, 205 N. Market St. in Milan.
Participants will review local survey findings, share their experiences, connect with others, and contribute ideas that can support ongoing community efforts. The forum is open to anyone who lives, works, or serves in Sullivan County.

The City of Milan Police Department has received reports that scammers are using the police department’s landline telephone number to make fraudulent calls.

The Milan Police Department will never call you to:

◾️Request money, donations, or payment
◾️Sell products or services
◾️Ask for personal or financial information

Scammers can manipulate caller ID so that a call appears to come from the Milan Police Department. This is known as caller ID spoofing.

If you receive a suspicious call:

⭕️Hang up immediately.
⭕️Do not provide money or personal or financial information.
⭕️Do not call back using a number provided by the caller.
⭕️Contact the Milan Police Department directly using a verified telephone number to confirm whether the call was legitimate.
