Reminder: Fair Clean-Up is Monday, June 29th, starting at 6 pm. It will be held at the Sullivan County Fair Grounds.

06/11/2026

The 2026 Sullivan County 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale will be held at the Sullivan County Expo Center and Fairgrounds in the Youth Livestock Barn in Milan on Saturday, July 11th at 6:00 P.M. The sale will again be held at the conclusion of the Sullivan County Fair. Animals must be in place and ready to view no later than 4:30 P.M.

This annual event provides 4-H and FFA members with an opportunity to showcase the knowledge, skills, and dedication they have developed through their livestock projects. Participation in livestock projects teaches valuable life skills including animal husbandry, responsibility, record keeping, goal setting, financial management, communication, and leadership. The livestock sale is an important educational experience that allows exhibitors to learn about marketing their projects, interacting with buyers, and representing the agricultural industry.

**A REMINDER: THIS IS A PREMIUM-ONLY SALE.** The animal being sponsored will remain in your possession. It is the responsibility of the seller to bring the animal to the auction and have arrangements to take the animal home following the sale. If your premium sponsor wishes to purchase the animal, that transaction must be arranged privately between the seller and the sponsor.

We encourage exhibitors to use this opportunity to share the educational value of their livestock projects with buyers and community members while demonstrating the hard work and commitment that have gone into their projects throughout the year.

Intent to Sell forms are to be submitted to 4-H Club leaders and FFA advisors for their approval by signature. The forms are then due to Stephanie Oaks no later than June 19th

Many in our 4-H family in the Northeast Region are wearing blue today in honor of a Ralls County Missouri 4-H member who recently passed away after a battle with brain cancer. One of our regional team members shared that they remember his first year in 4-H how he was a little bitty guy with a giant cowboy hat and a bucket calf that wouldn't move. Our hearts are with all those who are grieving this loss and those who are blessed to have known and loved Keaton.
