Pack the car and head to Kirksville for the latest and greatest Northeast Regional Energizer yet on Saturday, March 14th! From 9 am until 1 pm, Clover Kids, Members, and Adults will have the opportunity to make connections with new friends and gain knowledge and skills that will help you in the future.
Clover Kids will visit Clover Kids Circle where they will have the opportunity to explore leatherworking, nutrition, safety and an exciting natural phenomenon in their own track of sessions.
Members will have the opportunity to visit:
• Livestock Lane- where members will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities related to livestock projects.
• Creative Crossroads- where members will have the opportunity to create a project to take home with them!
• Hometown Heros Highway- where members will get to explore careers in public service.
• Wellness Way – where members will explore the 4th H- Health and how that plays a role in your future.
• SMQA Street-where members will complete their SMQA certification to exhibit food animal projects. *Participation in SMQA for Sessions 1, 2, AND 3 to complete the certification.
• Blueprint Boulevard- where members will explore turning the blueprints of your project into reality by using math to calculate the lumber needed.
• Power Parkway- where members will learn about electricity and electrical safety.
• Communication Causeway- where members will explore Journalism and Telling their 4-H Story.
• Extemp. Expressway- where members will have the opportunity to participate in the Extemporaneous Speaking Showdown.
• Judging Junction- where members will practice their judging skills with hands on classes building decision making skills.
• Motion Potion Motorway- where members will practice using parliamentary procedure in the creation of a snack.
Adults are welcome to join their members in sessions as space allows, or participate in the Friends and Family CPR and Youth-Adult Partnerships session to discuss how adults can support youth through 4-H as a youth organization.
A staggered lunch from a local food truck is included in the $15 registration fee.
Registration will close on March 4th and all registration fees will need to be paid to your local extension office by cash or check made payable to the Pike County Extension Council. No refunds will be offered for cancelled registrations.
