Great opportunity for those wishing to get into Emergency Medical Services. Multiple opportunities statewide.

The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course prepares the student to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. The satisfactory completion of this course prepares the candidate to test for certification at the EMR level with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). The EMR certification is required in order to apply for licensure as a State of New Hampshire Emergency Medical Responder.

Announcement

It is with deep sadness the Assistant Fire Chief Tom Freedman of the Errol Fire Department announce the sudden passing of Fire Chief Bradley W Eldridge. Chief Eldridge served the Errol Fire department and its residence for the past 6 years. Chief Eldridge was appointed fire Chief in 2020. Chief Eldridge brought over 49 years of experience to the Fire Rescue to the North Country community.

Along with is dedication to the fire department and the community Chief Eldridge played a huge roll in the communities’ food pantry. He touched the lives of so many in his49 years of service and will be sadly missed by many.

Services will be determined at a later date by hid family and the Errol Fire Department.

We will take it from here Chief.

The men and women of M&D fully support this measure. Our Firefighters currently recieve no compensation for the services they provide to our communities. We must remember that the men are oftentimes leaving work mid-shift to respond to emergency calls. With the current pressure of a poor economy, paying these guys for the work they do is a worthwhile investment. All across the country, there is a crisis with volunteerism. This leads to increased response times and poor outcomes. The recent successes of our own agency highlights the importance of fairly compensating first responders. After implementing a new administration, M&D has gone from barely answering any calls, to nearly 24/7 staffing. Let's support our firemen, and ensure they don't fall into the same situation we had with the ambulance in years past.

Attn: Milan Voters! We need your support. Right now our Firefighters receive zero compensation for their time. It puts a strain on our members by having to leave work to cover calls. This is the best move for the Fire Department, Members & the Town.

Happy New Year from all of us at M&D!

It's been an absolute honor to serve the local community. 2023 was a big year for us as an organization. We had a change of leadership, and with that, a move to scheduled staffing coverage. In 2023, we had 150 calls for service and nearly 24/7 coverage.

M&D was fortunate to receive multiple donations and even a grant award, enabling us to invest in specialized equipment at no cost to our citizens.

We look forward to further successes in 2024, and hope each of you have a happy and healthy year to come!

******PLANNED POWER OUTAGE FOR RT 110 AREA******

TODAY AT 10:30AM

Eversource has notified the Police Department that they will be doing a planned power outage for Route 110, near Dalton Mountain Motorsports in Berlin all the way to Stark beginning at 10:30am this morning in order for them to be able to remove a tree that is on some wires. The outage should last less than 30 minutes.

Early Sunday morning, Milan Emergency Services were dispatched to Pontook Reservoir for a report of a stranded boater.

The M&D crew provided a standby in the event of injury. Fortunately, members of the Milan Fire Department were able to quickly deploy watercraft, and tow the disabled vessel to shore. Thanks to the skillful response from MFD, no injuries were reported.

We will forever and always remember the lives lost and affected by the events that took place 22 years ago on 9/11.

Today we were invited to walk with our friends at the Milan Fire Department to honor those that fell that day.
