⚠️🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT FOR JUNE 13, 2026. 🚧⚠️

June 13, 2026, from 8am - 9am (could be extended), there will be a Domestic Violence Walk in honor of Dutchess Dior. Proper permits have been obtained from GDOT. There will be an interruption in traffic flow during this time. Reference to the attached map for detour route being in BLUE. The walk will be on Hwy 56 starting at City Hall, travel north to Hwy 305, then making their way to the Sports Complex by taking R. L. Lemons Sr. Ave. The walk is displayed in RED on the map. Signage and law enforcement will be directing traffic during this time.

Hwy 56 crossing is blocked with unknown time of moving. There is an issue with one of the train cars that is needed repair. At this time please detour through Hendon Ga or Wadley Ga.

Our neighbors in Clinch County are in urgent need of the following supplies!

We will have a drop-off set up at our Training Building parking lot at the Sheriff’s Office. When you turn onto Wilbur Berry Dr., it will be immediately on your right. A trailer will be set up for you to drop off donations.

We will be leaving shortly after to deliver these much-needed supplies.

Update 04:58. Roadway is open

‼️ ROAD CLOSED ‼️ 03/26/2026 2:17am

At this time Hwy 17 in Midville coming from Millen is closed due to Fire Personnel working a fire scene. Local traffic can detour through city streets. Commercial vehicle traffic is encouraged to detour Midville by taking Herndon Road. No traffic is permitted on the stretch of highway from Alice Street to Burton Street.

It’s been reported that a vehicle occupied by two males are pitching a story that they can add a device to your power pole to help you save on your power bill.

👉 No one has reached out to the City of Midville about this program.

👉 Keep in mind that ONLY Georgia Power will alter your power meter.

👉 You should receive official notification from Georgia Power dealing with any changes to your electric bill.

Do not fall for scammers. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Report any suspicious activities to City Hall or 911.

Update: Highway 56 is back open. Train has been moved.

‼️ Traffic accident involving a train resulting in all crossings in Midville blocked. Unknown on when the roads will be back open. No leaks from the train.
