So I’m almost caught up lol Back in March this awesome young couple closed on their first home, beautiful finishes, brand new home, warranties for days, and to top it off about 27k in equity. This is a reminder to all who want to gain wisdom. Knowledge is useless until it is put into practice until it’s questioned. Until you’ve held it to the flame at the risk of burning your soul away. Remember, wisdom is the knowledge you’re given applied.

This quote makes my stomach churn, all in four words. It causes my chest to tighten and my breathing to become shallow. WHY? Because IT CHALLENGES ME. It reminds me of the things I suffered to know. It poses the question “what do you protect from being tested?” It is a very visceral experience to know things deep in your bones. Embrace the struggle, you will thank yourself.

Probably one of the most challenging homes I’ve listed so far. This home boasted a whole bedroom/bathroom suite in its oversized garage. Something that is really hard to account for in its pricing strategy. Not to mention a smaller main home and a large lot with horse corralling. Grateful to say everything closed nice and smooth with no appraisal issues and a very happy seller. Just remember, you don’t have to do this alone. So this was too much fun. Got to help a friend that I made a few years ago. He recently got married, so Obvs he and the wife needed a home. Took about a year (4 months just dealing with builder timelines). Now he’s in his first home and loving life!! Proud if your hard work, dude!!

How did I land here?

If anyone from the outside looking in had witnessed my life they might ask the same question. I have been involved in a number of different work spheres, from serving at a steak house, to front desk at a holiday, over ten years of landscape construction, and now part time service in the Army Reserves. This still begs the question, why here? Why real estate?

Well, it really started with probably the same idea most people have, I’m sick of paying rent. That thought with the idea that I needed more information on what to do to get into my first home. I knew that Utah had/has really great support for first time home buyers through grants and FHA home loans requiring almost no money down. I just needed more information. So I began my search as most people do these days, I reached out on my page asking for info, tips, and tricks for first time home buyers. The response was underwhelming, but the information that came forth was from several people I trusted so I moved forward.

One person that reached out was a friend of mine, dearly beloved and respected, he mentioned that he could help and asked to chat. Though it was his job as a realtor to find clients so he could pay his dues, never once in speaking to him did I feel like a paycheck. His tone said everything, I could tell that it was his genuine desire to help me get into a good position. I could tell he was being genuine, even though we hadn’t spoken in years, it was easy to tell he was a friend.
