KINDERGARTEN BOOTCAMP: WEEK 2 COMPLETE!

Over the past week, our kindergarteners have been learning the fundamental school skills they’ll need for a successful year… and they’re getting certified along the way! From becoming Scissor Certified and Glue Certified to mastering Play-Doh, classroom routines, and all the little skills that make a BIG difference, our Cubs have been busy learning, practicing, and building confidence.

And, of course, no bootcamp would be complete without the official gear! Our Cubs proudly sported their dog tags and tackled each new challenge like pros.

Today, Ms. Petty’s classroom transformed into a book café as students participated in a Starbooks Book Tasting! Students rotated through different “tables,” sampled books from a variety of genres, and discovered some new titles they might not have picked up on their own.

The goal? To step outside of their reading comfort zones, explore new genres, and hopefully find a few books that leave them wanting more!

No coffee required…just curious readers and a whole lot of good books!

All of our students new to Clover Hill in 1st-5th grade have officially found their House family!

We even had a very special guest stop by… CCPS Deputy Superintendent Dr. High swung through to join in on the hype and help our students find their new homes! Seeing all of the kids cheer each other on was easily the best part of the day!

Today was a BIG day for our newest Clover Hill Cubs in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade as they were officially placed into their houses!

We loved seeing the excitement on their faces as they waited to find out which house chose them! The cheers, smiles, and celebrations made it such a special day.

Tomorrow, it’s 4th and 5th grade’s turn! We can’t wait to welcome our newest upper-grade Cubs into their houses and see the excitement continue!

A big day for our Clover Hill Elementary Cubs!

Today was our first day with all of our kindergarten Cubs together, and our building was buzzing with excitement! We popped into kindergarten classrooms to see our newest learners working hard on name recognition, fine motor skills, and building their classroom communities.

We also had a special visitor! Our superintendent, Dr. John Murray, stopped by during lunch to check in and see how our Cubs were doing on this exciting first day.

We are so proud of our kindergarteners and can’t wait to see all the learning, growing, and memories they’ll make this year!

We loved stopping by our 4th-grade classrooms to see students participating in fun getting-to-know-you activities! From Find Someone Who activities and Would You Rather? questions to reading Our Class Is a Family, our students are learning more about one another and building meaningful connections for an amazing school year!

Are you going to be picking your child up from either your car or the walker door during the school year this year? If so, you will need to get your family number!

Beat the long lines at next Thursday’s orientation and supply drop off and come by Clover Hill anytime this Wednesday or Thursday from 7 AM-5 PM or next week Monday-Friday from 7:45 AM-3:45 PM!

Accurate bus stop and route information in VersaTrans is typically available the week before school begins. If your child already has a bus route showing, please be sure to check again the week before school starts, as routes and stop times may change while routing is being finalized.

✅ Need to verify your child's transportation?
Please log in to ParentVUE to confirm that your child's transportation method and address are listed correctly. This lets you verify that your child is expected to be routed for bus service.

📚🎈🎉Put on your party (and reading) hats for El Librotazo, the Big Book Party! At El Librotazo, every child can choose up to five books to keep for free, forever.
