Statewide drill announced for April 2nd.

📢Statewide Emergency Alert Test to Happen Thursday, April 2

🚨Texas will conduct a statewide test of emergency alert systems on April 2 between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

📱You may receive a test alert on your phone and/or hear outdoor warning sirens depending on where you are at the time of the test. Midlothian will activate MidlothianSafe Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) its mass notification system to cellphones during this time.

❎Because multiple jurisdictions may participate, you could receive more than one test alert during the testing window.

THIS IS ONLY A TEST. NO EMERGENCY ACTION IS REQUIRED.

💯Testing helps ensure emergency alerts work when they are needed most.
