Another great Kids Fishing Derby is in the books. We are so proud to partner with Midlothian Parks and Recreation - Texas to sponsor this amazing community event. Special thanks to Drew Williams and Kissy Day, MCD board members, for coming out and handing out the awards.

Renaissance at the Ranch Horse Show and Faire happening now! MCD is proud to sponsor the Paws for Reflection event. Food, fun and family magic, don’t miss this two day event. Woodsy Coffee Co. on site, Cajun food vendor and much more. Bring the family there is no entry fee.

This unique, family‑friendly event blends the magic of a Renaissance festival with the heart of supporting Paws for Reflection Ranch, an organization dedicated to animal‑assisted therapy and healing programs.

Visitors can enjoy two full days of fun including live entertainment, costumed characters, artisan vendors, themed games, delicious food, and interactive experiences for all ages. Whether you're a longtime Ren‑faire fan or just looking for a memorable weekend outing, the fair offers something for everyone—while also helping support the incredible mission of the Ranch.

Words that come to mind when I see this picture bittersweet, servants heart, family and faith.
Bittersweet to watch a member of our board move on. Kasey Cheshier - Midlothian City Council Place 2 was instrumental in pretty much all of the infrastructure work done in the last 3 years. Creation of spreadsheets, grant processes and so much more. He was a huge part of our MCD family.
Servants heart encapsulates every aspect of Kasey. If you don’t know how to serve selflessly for the greater good just watch him.
Faith pretty sure that’s his fuel.
Family absolutely positive that is what grounds him and motivates him to make this world a better place.

Tonight, I had the honor of taking the oath of office and officially being sworn in to serve on the Midlothian City Council.

As I swore to faithfully execute the duties of this office and uphold the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, I was reminded that public service is both a privilege and a responsibility I do not take lightly.

I was grateful to stand alongside my biggest supporters (my family & kids), because this commitment is one we take on together. Their encouragement, sacrifices, and prayers make this journey possible.

I remain committed to serving the people of Midlothian with integrity, humility, and a heart for this community we all love. I ask that you continue to pray for myself & this executive body of our city as we work to lead wisely, serve faithfully, and make decisions that strengthen Midlothian for generations to come.

Economic Development Week is officially in the books!

City of Midlothian, Texas - City Hall - Government employees wrapped up the week by enjoying sweet treats from our local small businesses thanks to coupons provided by MCD and MED Midlothian Economic Development. It was the perfect finish to a week filled with learning, teamwork, and a fun dose of friendly competition.

Stay tuned to see who won the Economic Development Quiz Challenge to see which team will receive a well‑deserved free lunch!
