Just in time for Spring, the sandbox at Wishing Well Park is newly filled and ready for play!

On Friday, community members and volunteers added and spread 2 cubic yards of new play sand to the WWP sandbox.

Community support for Project Swing and Wishing Well Park make these kinds of improvements possible on an ongoing basis and is critical.

Happy playing, kiddos!!

Stay tuned for more ways to support and enhance our beloved park… coming soon…

In 2019, Project SWING, the nonprofit that oversees Wishing Well Park, embarked on a much-needed park revitalization project to replace aging equipment, introduce exciting new play opportunities for children of all ages, and improve accessibility and safety in our beloved Park and playground.

Phase I fundraising raised $150,000 to fund site work to improve drainage, install new accessible surfacing and pathways, and add play elements with a focus on children ages 5–12, including swings, a universal spinner, musical elements, playhouses, and more.

TODAY, wooden frames were installed for signage that will help us recognize ALL those who have helped bring the park’s revitalization to life.

Thank you especially to Salisbury Homeowners Association, Salisbury Mother’s Club, and all of you — our generous neighbors — for making Wishing Well Park the special place it is.

Stay tuned — donor recognition signage is coming soon!

Update: With the snow thawing, the playground will reopen on Thursday, February 5th. However, please continue to use caution in the Park and on playground equipment which remains slick. The back parking area remains unplowed, so please park in the front church lot and avoid the back lot. Thank you and happy playing!

🐧 PENGUINS ONLY! 🐧

Attention all non-penguin neighborhood kiddos and families,

Due to extreme icy conditions, Wishing Well Park surfaces and equipment are extremely slick and not safe for little (or any) feet.

Out of an abundance of caution, we ask neighbors to please keep children out of the park and playground and to use extra care until temperatures rise and conditions improve.

We’ll share updates as conditions change and the playground is safe to reopen.

Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe.
