AIRPORT PARKING UPDATE: As of 11:30am today there are 4 spots open in C@, with most the available parking in lots P4 and P5.

As of 2pm Tuesday, November 25th, nearly all the parking in the close-in covered and uncovered lots are already filled it at Midland International Air & Space Port. If you are headed out for the Thanksgiving Holiday, there are spaces in C2 (covered) and P2 still available, as well as lots P3, 4, and 5.

The 2026 UTP also contained funding for the US 285 Reliever Route around Pecos. Currently, there is $194 million in funding to construct a new reliever from I-20 to US 285 north of the city on the east side. This will help improve safety and reduce travel times for those working in the Delaware Basin.

Earlier this year TXDOT allocated $38 million to help extend the current 4 lane divided roadway on SH 302 from FM 2019 to the Winkler/Ector County line. This is part of a bigger effort we have been part of to extend that work on to Kermit and ultimately US 285. While this is just a start, we are optimistic about this investment in a very important roadway!
