🚨 Coming Soon: Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters 🚨

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters event from April 26 through May 3, 2026.

During this week, fire departments, families, and communities across the country will shine red lights to honor firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to support the loved ones they left behind.

We invite our community to join us by:
🔴 Changing an outdoor light to red
🔴 Displaying a red bulb at your home or business
🔴 Sharing this message to help spread awareness

This simple act of remembrance helps ensure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Jefferson Township Fire Department would like to send out our sincere thanks and appreciation to several departments for their assistance of mutual aide at the structure fire last night. Thanks to Blanchester Marion Township & Fire Department, Blanchester EMS, Wilmington Fire Department, Lynchburg Fire Department, Martinsville Fire Department, Fayetteville Fire and EMS, and Box 14.

As I am sure, most of you know by now, we are supposed to have severe weather this evening. The latest models and updates are showing severe weather occurring anywhere from 6 PM till midnight with the most severe being between 8 PM and 9 PM for our area. Please make sure you have a plan together, know where you will take shelter and have several ways to get weather alerts. Also, have your phones charged and batteries for flashlights as there is a very good possibility of power outages during these storms. Please stay safe!
