I am proud to participate in the Basin Beautification Project. We are addressing the issue of trash and debris in our city, Midland County, Odessa, and Ector County. This will be a collaborative effort for both cities and counties to work together for the greater good of our community. The project is focused on trash pickup, safety, beautification, and increased pride in our community. We can all do our part by picking up trash if you see it, cleaning out your truck beds, bagging your trash, and by not throwing your trash out the window of your vehicle. Let's all take pride in where we live and stop the litter. In the City of Midland you can use the SeeClickFix app to schedule large item pickup instead of dumping your trash or leaving it on the side of a dumpster. Be an example for those around you and let's make our community cleaner. Find out more at https://basinbeautificationproject.com/.

I am saddened by the assassination of a patriot and brother in Christ. Charlie Kirk was an extraordinary individual that sparked conversation and encouraged people to get engaged. His legacy will live on. If you have never heard his debate on why he knows the Bible is true, you should listen to it. I know he is with our heavenly father now. These senseless attacks need to stop. The hate speech that encourages these violent attacks needs to stop. May God be with the Kirk family.

I know I'm probably the world's worst Facebooker. I was raised in an era that valued face to face interactions instead of virtual ones and I prefer an in person meeting instead of a zoom meeting. I understand that much of the world uses these virtual tools we have and I must adapt and get better at using them. I sometimes equate posting everything I do to looking for recognition or saying "Look at me!" I am not looking for recognition or a pat on the back. My gratification comes from working hard, getting results, doing what's right, and helping people. I take my job seriously and I strive to honor God with all of my decisions. Midlanders, I am working hard for you and am involved with more committees and projects than you could imagine. I spend countless hours reviewing items and implementing good government. It takes a toll sometimes, but I made a commitment and I stand by my commitment. I'm here for you. As I stated earlier, I will work on my online skills and strive to do a better job at informing you on what is going on in your city. Thank you for your support.

I was made aware of political signs being removed from residents yards on Tuesday afternoon and acted quickly to correct the situation. The information I received is that several signs were removed from Right of Ways by code enforcement during clean-up efforts, but some signs were removed from homes. This is unacceptable and should have never happened. Please know that you have concerned officials working to correct the problem so it never happens again. It is extremely important that everyone has a voice and their property is respected. If you were impacted and your sign has not been returned, please let me know.

I want to make sure my fellow Midlanders know that we are diligently working on the situation. Myself as well as several others have been involved in creating solutions to the problems we have encountered. We are working on a valve repair that has been more complicated than expected, but a plan is in place and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We will have a press conference at 10pm tonight to give updates on the situation. I'll keep you posted. I share your frustrations, but we are working on rectifying the situation as soon as possible.

The city of Midland has an important update regarding the water situation.
City officials expect the water pressure across the city will increase by 7 p.m. That lower pressure will exist throughout the night.
The City also is expecting to proceed with the removal with the valve in question and that — when completed -- will allow water to flow through the pipe.
“While this will result in an increased water flow — more than necessary -- it is a preferable solution to having insufficient water,” City officials said.
The City is also imploring individuals to refrain from unnecessary watering, including outdoor watering
We are asking all residents to help conserve water, especially by avoiding lawn watering, which makes up 55% of the city’s total water use. Reducing non-essential water use will help stabilize the system during this time.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

It's official! I am now your new City Council at Large representative. I am still so grateful and humbled. I know that God has a plan for all of us and this is the calling he has put on my heart. I look forward to serving the citizens of Midland and implementing my vision for this city. You never know what God has in store for you, just say yes when he opens the door. Thank you Midland, now it's time to get to work!

I wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family and I. During this time, don't forget the real reason for the season, The birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I've been preparing myself for my upcoming role and I look forward to what this new year will bring. I'm honored to serve you Midland and thank you for all of the support!

We braved the cold weather to attend the ground breaking event for the new Costco! Just a little trivia, this Costco will be the biggest in the State of Texas, because everything is bigger and better in Texas! I appreciate everyone's hard work on this project and look forward to seeing what the future brings in this area as Midland continues to grow.

We had the honor of presenting Nancy Ivy the prestigious inspiration award for all of her work that her and her family do at the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry. Her story is amazing. They work selflessly to serve others in our community and we are thankful and inspired by all that they do. Thank you for your dedication and thank you for continuing a legacy that Nancy's parents started so many years ago!
