MCESA Career Development Facilitator Heather Masters shared photos from Corey Spurling’s Principles of Engineering class as students tested their underwater robotics projects in H.H. Dow High School's pool today!

This project was made possible thanks to a Gerstacker Teacher Innovator Grant that Mr. Spurling said will help the project run indefinitely. Students had just four weeks to design, build, and troubleshoot their robots before putting them to the test by measuring underwater cylinders anchored and suspended in the pool. To wrap up the activity, two student teams even raced their robots across the water!

There’s still time to register for Scrub Life Healthcare Camp this summer! Registration will remain open through June 5.

Students will explore the fundamentals of patient care, medical terminology, and healthcare careers through hands-on simulations and engaging guest speakers. This exciting opportunity presented by MCESA's Career and Technical Education (CTE) department is offered in partnership with Central Michigan University, Davenport University, and MyMichigan Health.

Team members at Longview Early Childhood Center spent the morning learning and reflecting during a professional development session hosted by Kathy Snyder of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition.

The morning's PD focused on a summer recovery guide and practical toolkit for educators, providing meaningful tools to support wellness both inside and outside the classroom. Thank you to Kathy for sharing valuable insights and helping our staff gear up for summer feeling supported and inspired!

A big THANK YOU for your support of Project Wildflower – because of you, this vision is becoming a reality at Longview Early Childhood Center!

We are incredibly grateful to United Way of Midland County and Tri-Star Trust for making it possible to transform a portion of the Longview property into a thriving wildlife habitat and outdoor learning space where students can explore, discover, and grow through hands-on nature experiences.

Congratulations to Midland County Educational Service Agency's Project Wildflower on being selected by the community as the winner of the first-ever Days of Action project contest sponsored by Tri-Star Trust! 🌷🪻🌻

A big thank you to everyone who voted for their favorite project! During Days of Action from June 22-25, we will not only be working on Project Wildflower but also offering smaller volunteer opportunities with our United Way partners Cancer Services - Midland, Home To Stay Housing Assistance Center, The ROCK Center for Youth Development, Midland County Habitat for Humanity, Affordable Housing Alliance, West Midland Family Center, Senior Services Midland, Greater Midland Coleman Family Center, Midland Child Advocacy Center, Greater Midland North Family Center, and Arnold Center, Inc., Family & Children's Services of Mid-Michigan.

Registration for all opportunities will be available next week.
