As we wrap up the month of May and Mental Health Awareness Month, the Midfield Police Department wants to remind everyone that your mental health matters.

Every day, people around us may be facing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or personal struggles that are not always visible. That is why it is so important to continue showing compassion, understanding, and support to one another.

As law enforcement officers, we understand the importance of protecting not only physical safety, but emotional well-being too. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and no one should ever feel alone in their struggles.

Although Mental Health Awareness Month is coming to an end, taking care of your mental well-being should not. The conversation should continue every day. We encourage everyone to check in on family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. A simple conversation, kind word, or act of support can make a lasting impact.

Together, we can continue breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and build a stronger, healthier community for all.

You matter. Your mental health matters.

For support, dial 988 or call our local Crisis & Su***de Line at 205-323-7777

Today, we especially honor and thank the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who unselfishly gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the United States of America. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.
As you spend time with family and friends this holiday, please celebrate responsibly, stay safe, and take a moment to remember the heroes who made our freedoms possible.
