The Wadsworth Mansion, a nineteenth century Beaux Art style mansion, is the quintessential country estate. Graced by expansive lawns and surrounded by 103 acres of wooded parklands the Mansion reflects an era of grandeur and elegance. There are multiple locations for outdoor ceremonies and guests can enjoy cocktails and dancing on the terrace under the stars. The Mansion can accommodate two hundre

d guests for a seated dinner reception and larger numbers for cocktail parties. Only one event is scheduled each day and couples can select from a list of approved caterers to create the wedding of their dreams. Mansion and grounds are closed to the public during wedding rentals and private events. Wedding rental tours are available by appointment only.

The weather has finally warmed enough for plantings and thanks to Kathy Meyering, President of the Middletown Garden Club, our urns are planted and ready for the season!

We look forward to seeing the planters mature and grow in these warmer months, and hope people will come by to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Mansion grounds.

After almost a full week of snow on snow, we’re gazing out at the Vista and Terrace dreaming of warmer days when everything is lush and green and the mansion is buzzing with celebration again. 🌿

These photos from Hannah & Colin’s wedding last June are exactly the kind of energy we’re missing right now. A sunlit ceremony on the Vista, surrounded by endless greenery, followed by dancing under the open sky on the terrace. Golden light, happy tears, champagne clinks, and that electric just-married joy you can actually feel in the air.

It’s funny how winter makes you nostalgic for moments like this; the music drifting outside, guests spilling onto the lawn, and couples soaking in every second of their best day ever. If you’re planning a spring wedding, consider this your reminder: June at the mansion is pure magic. ✨

We’ve said it before but Spring at the Mansion really is something special. 🌸✨

Michelle and Cal’s wedding was the definition of spring aesthetic. We’re still obsessed with how the cherry blossoms out front perfectly framed the mansion, setting the tone for major “ethereal spring blooms” energy.

From saying “I do” on the terrace to that glorious main character moment dancing in the Loggia (those tall arched windows + the golden hour light = pure magic), every detail felt like a literal dream. And don’t even get us started on the dining setup. The light blue hues against our Beaux-Arts ballrooms were the chicest touch. 🩵🏛️

Sometimes the best moments happen just outside the spotlight. 🤍

During the happy bustle of guests, timelines, and well-meaning family members, some couples will sneak away for a quiet pause for a few moments together. At the Wadsworth Mansion, we love when those moments lead upstairs. A private dinner tucked away on the Juliette balcony. A breath after vows in our upstairs hallway. Or a few stolen minutes on the staircase while the day keeps moving below.

Hailey & William did it perfectly during their May 2025 wedding. That train? It absolutely deserved a staircase moment. And honestly, these are the photos that feel the most real, unrushed, intimate, and full of that “we finally did it” energy.
