VNACJ WIC Program

VNACJ WIC Program We provide healthy supplemental foods at participating supermarkets, stores, and farmers' markets. Each WIC family is treated like a friend at VNACJ.

WIC is a public health nutrition program that provides nutrition and breastfeeding education, nutritious foods, and health care referrals to low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. The VNACJ WIC Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding the health of low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5.

We also provide nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding education and ongoing support, and referrals for medical and dental care and other social services. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of women and children during critical times of growth and development through proper nutrition. We teach about topics such as healthy meals, feeding picky eaters, and achieving a healthy weight/weight loss, and so much more. WIC children enter school ready to learn, and WIC parents feel empowered to make healthy lifestyle choices for themselves and their children. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. (Esta institucion es un proveedor de igualdad de oportunidades.) http://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/wic/home/nondiscrim/shtml

water is one of the most important nutrients for your body! 💧

Water makes up about 60% of the body and is needed for every single organ to function properly. Water also helps prevent dehydration and regulates your body temperature, which is so important during the hot summer months! ☀️Staying hydrated is especially important for little ones and those who are breastfeeding!
