The Road to Liberty Block Party on Kings Highway was absolutely incredible! Thousands of Middletown residents came together to kick off our America 250 celebration along one of the most historically significant roads in our nation’s fight for independence. From Revolutionary War reenactments to 18th-century games and demonstrations, the spirit of 1776 was on full display. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable celebration of our shared history and the enduring promise of liberty. 🇺🇸

Middletown’s upcoming Road to Liberty Block Party will feature a beer battle! 🇺🇸🍻

We visited in Campbell’s Junction for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Liberty Lighthouse Lager, one of three patriotic-inspired beverages debuting at the block party this Saturday, 5/30 from 4–7 PM on historic Kings Highway.

Will you side with the Patriots and choose the crisp, light-style Liberty Lighthouse Lager? Stay loyal to the crown with Middletown Mild, an English-style mild beer? Or remain neutral with Sandy Hooked, a cherry blossom lemonade seltzer inspired by the cherry blossom trees that bloom in the orchard where the event will be taking place?

The weather wasn’t going to stop Middletown from honoring Memorial Day with our annual parade. Today, we paused as one community to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our Nation and the freedoms we cherish each day. Their courage secured the blessings of liberty for generations of Americans, and their legacy will never be forgotten. Thank you to American Legion Post 338 for once again organizing this meaningful tribute and ensuring we continue to honor those who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸

❄️ Winter Storm Update #3 🚧

As the storm bears down on Middletown and snow continues to accumulate, please keep the following in mind:

🛻 Public Works is actively plowing major roadways throughout town. More than 120 vehicles have been and will continue to be dispatched for plowing and snow removal as conditions worsen.

🗑️ Monday’s North Zone trash collection is cancelled. If you haven’t already, please bring trash and recycling containers off the street to prevent damage from snow plows.

🎓 Middletown Public Schools will be closed tomorrow.

🚗 Please avoid street parking if at all possible. Move vehicles into driveways or lots so crews can clear roads curb-to-curb.

🚊 NJ Transit service has been suspended.

⚠️ State travel restriction: Governor Mikie Sherrill and the New Jersey State Police have ordered all non-essential vehicles to remain off roadways from 9:00 PM tonight through 7:00 AM Monday.

Please stay safe, stay warm, and limit travel unless absolutely necessary.
