Middletown WORKS hosted our Get Your Money Right, Sis™: Income to Idea session focused on helping women explore entrepreneurship, business development, and turning ideas into income.

A huge thank you to our facilitator Kristin with for sharing her expertise, insights, and commitment to empowering women through financial education and business ownership.

Building economic mobility takes consistency. Whether we’re reaching one person or one hundred, the mission remains the same: creating opportunities, sharing knowledge, and making sure women have access to the tools they need to thrive.

College planning conversations should include students too.

Behind every college acceptance letter are real financial conversations families are trying to figure out in real time.

Christian will be sharing his perspective as a graduating senior preparing for college; and navigating scholarships, financial pressures, expectations, decision-making, and the realities students (and parents) face during the transition from high school to college life.

As part of our Get Your Money Right, Sis™ Financial Empowerment Series, this workshop is designed to help single-parent families build confidence around college planning, financial preparation, and long-term stability.

Because college shouldn’t feel financially impossible.

Middletown WORKS Storytime began during the pandemic as a way to keep families connected through books and shared moments; even when we couldn’t be together in person. From there, it grew into pop-up Storytimes across Middletown, reading outdoors and meeting families where they were.

This week, we brought Storytime- Christmas Edition back in person at Russell Library, along with their already schedule holiday craft day. Families enjoyed books, treats and left with a gift bag with a school supply and sweets. We were joined by Xavier High School Senior Christian King and two MW interns from Middletown Adult Education, creating a two-generational moment of community, connection, and joy.

We’re grateful to Russell Library and the families who shared the space with us. We hope you enjoy your holiday!
