As artists, Joe and Kaylyn have a deep appreciation for all forms of art, and they wanted to create an artistic experience for their guests. They had a live artist sketching guest portraits, a renaissance still life inspired grazing table, and craft cocktails inspired by Kaylyn's wedding scent which is from a prestigious French perfumery and inspired by the palace of Versailles (which is where they were engaged). My heart burst when they told me they wanted the ceremony to be a verbal expression of this artisan experience as it will set the tone for the evening while still being personal and them as a couple. 🥹✨️

You helped us SO much throughout the whole process :) My family is still talking about how wonderful you were at the rehearsal (we really needed that rehearsal! lol). You made the process so seamless and we really did not have to stress at all about the ceremony which we really loved. People seem to be gravitating more towards having family/ friends officiate their weddings these days, but we cannot express how happy we are that we had you there! I am gushing over our "sneak peek” photos and I love that you knew to step aside for our first kiss :). THE VISION:
Imagine being in the south of France on a late summer's day. The cool ocean breeze making its way up to the charming cliffside villages. The florals, a feast for the eyes, as if painted by Claude Monet himself. We beautifully blend modern simplicity with the rich historic tones of the past and bring our travels abroad to a hidden gem in Connecticut, Wadsworth Mansion. This setting, much like their love story, is a deliberate choice- The Wadsworth is not just a backdrop; it's a canvas, a testament to their shared values and inspirations. Kaylyn's vision, which draws from the elegance and artistic beauty of their travels abroad, mirrors the philosophy of the great masters who understood that art is a reflection of life itself. Their wedding was not just a celebration, but an embodiment of their journey together, their shared experiences, and their love for the arts.

THE COUPLE:
"We met as photographers at a fashion start-up 10 years ago; what started out as a friendship blossomed into the deepest connection we would ever know. Within the past decade, we have built a company, gutted and renovated our first home on our own and are raising our two amazing children. As wedding photographers, it was always a bit ironic we never had a wedding ourselves. We went back and forth between eloping abroad before deciding we would bring the south of France to New England and treat our loved ones to a truly artisan affair, something we would admire. Joe and I connect deeply on the philosophy L'Art de vive. When you are surrounded by artists, masters of their craft, and experiencing not only their profession but their passion, there is nothing quite like it. We wanted to transport our guests for an unforgettable experience that touches all of the senses. "
