The MCPASD Education Foundation had the best time at the Middleton Good Neighbor Festival this weekend.

We were so lucky to be right between the amazing staff at the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District and the Middleton High School Marching Band. It was so fun to be with our Cardinals in our community. Have a great first day of school!

Middleton High School teacher Mr. Justin Zander began working with students last semester to build a solar kiln to mill their own lumber from local trees, and he finished the kiln this summer!

Soon students in Mr. Zander’s woodworking classes will be able to collect logs and mill them into lumber – after drying the wood in the kiln. Mr. Zander said that milling their own lumber will reduce costs and allow woodworking students to do more and bigger projects.

He earned a grant from the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Education Foundation to fund the solar kiln. Learn more about Mr. Zander's work and how to donate wood for his students to use: https://loom.ly/il2YqHc

Join MCPASD, WayForward Resources and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Education Foundation in supporting our community’s families in need!

All MCPASD schools will have donation bins at their respective Back to School nights. Families are welcome to drop off non-perishable food donations for WayForward Resources and the MCPASD Education Foundation, which supports the Weekend Food Program for MCPASD students in need.

Donation bins at each school will include a QR code for families that would like to make a monetary donation to either organization. We’re coming together to kick off Hunger Action Month, a national campaign held every September to raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger in America.
