🚧 Stonefield Reconstruction Project Update 🚧

Despite several days of unfavorable weather, construction continues to make steady progress.

This week, the contractor completed pulverizing operations and continued grading activities throughout the project area. The subcontractor also began adjusting manholes in preparation for future paving operations.

Looking ahead to the week of June 15–19, crews are expected to complete fine grading and finish the remaining manhole adjustments. If weather conditions cooperate, these activities will position the project for paving operations to begin the following week.

Residents should continue to expect construction equipment activity, periodic lane restrictions, increased truck traffic, and temporary impacts to roadway access as work progresses.

Plan Commission Recap | June 9, 2026

The Plan Commission held public hearings and reviewed several development and ordinance-related items during Tuesday's meeting. Commissioners also welcomed newly appointed member Laura Buchholz to the Commission.

Key actions included:

• Setting a July 14 public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Belle Farm General Development Plan that would allow active outdoor recreation uses, including a proposed community pool location.

• Approval of a site plan for a new equipment storage shed at Taylor Memorial Park for Middleton Cardinals Youth Football. The organization will be responsible for all project, operational, and maintenance costs, with final building aesthetics subject to staff review.

• Discussion of a proposed off-site parking lot for Zimbrick at 3202 Parmenter Street. Commissioners reviewed the conditional use permit request and provided feedback on site design, landscaping, curbing, sidewalk connections, and parking lot requirements. A final decision will be considered at a future meeting.

• Recommendation of updates to the City's Sign Code and recommendation of a proposed 12-month moratorium on large-scale data centers while the City evaluates future zoning and land-use regulations.

The Commission also considered committee appointments and ongoing planning initiatives related to future development and land use policy.

This recap reflects information available at the time of posting and is intended as a summary. Official actions are documented in approved meeting minutes.
