The Middleton Fire Department is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Officer Rob Smith of the Boxford Police Department.

Rob served for many years as a Middleton Police Officer and was well-liked and respected by many in our community.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Rob’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Rob. Your service and dedication will not be forgotten.

Did You Know? 🚒

The Town of Middleton Code requires that homes located 50 feet or more from the main traveled way have their house number displayed on a post or other visible, substantial support at the entrance to the property.

Clearly visible address numbers can make a critical difference in helping first responders quickly locate the correct address during an emergency, when every second counts.

Did you also know? The Middleton Fire Department offers FREE reflective address signs for senior residents whose homes are located more than 50 feet from the roadway. This program is made possible through the Retire the Fire Program and Senior SAFE Grant funding.

Chief LeColst and Captain Armitage recently had the pleasure of meeting George Mercer, a longtime Middleton resident, who generously presented the Middleton Fire and Police Departments with a beautiful handcrafted American flag to display in our new Public Safety Building.

We are honored by Mr. Mercer's thoughtful gift and look forward to proudly displaying it in the front lobby, where it can be enjoyed by all who visit.
