Now through May 31st, we are partnering with the Idaho Transportation Department’s Office of Highway Safety (OHS) and law enforcement agencies across Idaho, urging drivers to buckle up. Our officers are part of a statewide enforcement effort, issuing citations to those not wearing their seat belt and educating Idahoans on the importance of all drivers and passengers buckling up.

This seat belt safety effort coincides with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Click It or Ticket campaign with law enforcement officers nationwide, as well as Memorial Day weekend – the first long weekend of the busy summer travel period.

According to OHS data, 87% of Idahoans are already making the safe choice to wear their seat belt.

Buckling up is the easiest thing you can do to protect yourself in a crash. It increases your chances of surviving by 50%. Make it a habit to buckle up every time!

Tomorrow’s the day 🚓

Join us May 2nd from 8 AM–3 PM at Middleton High School for a community car show hosted by the school’s Velocity Club.

Middleton PD will be there with about a dozen patrol vehicles on display, plus Idaho Guard vehicles, Caldwell SWAT and even an airplane ✈️

You’ll also find a great lineup of classic cars, food vendors and donuts for sale by the Middleton Student Safety Committee.

Come check it out, meet your local officers and enjoy a fun day in the community!

Sometimes the strongest kids wear the biggest smiles. 💙

Earlier today, Middleton officers were honored to take part in a special drive-by birthday celebration for Levi’s 6th birthday.

Over the past year, Levi has been courageously fighting AML leukemia at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where he received a bone marrow transplant.

Because of his fragile immune system, a traditional birthday party wasn’t possible this year—but that didn’t stop his community from showing up in a big way.

A long parade of patrol cars from neighboring agencies lined the streets, all to celebrate one incredibly brave little boy. 🚓

Levi, your strength inspires all of us. We’re proud to stand with you and your family and grateful we could help make your day a little brighter.
