Recently, State Rep. Joanna King, along with The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Indiana Daughters of the American Revolution, honored William Tuffs as the only known Indiana resident to have taken part in the Boston Tea Party.

First week of July and it’s been busy and productive. Here’s a short glimpse of what the first four days brought for me.
✔️ Met with constituent on Medicare
✔️ Meeting hosted by Indy Chamber and heard a presentation from Hobart Mayor Huddleston
✔️ Prepared event space for an event
✔️ Worked on July Schedule
✔️Attended Goshen First Friday
✔️ Dinner and conversations downtown
✔️ *Tried* to overcome my fear of heights
✔️ Displayed a HUGE flag 🇺🇸
✔️ Hosted Betsy Ross ⭐️
✔️ Dinner with all the grands and kids

🇺🇸Supporting our veterans is important to me. As a MoM of a Marine, I know first hand the sacrifices our veterans make to defend our freedoms. HEA1210 was a huge win for our veterans and I was happy to support this legislation.

🇺🇸House Enrolled Act 1210 has been signed into law, delivering stronger property tax relief for Hoosier veterans. ✅

The new law includes:
🏡 A 100% real property tax deduction on assessed value for veterans with a 100% disability rating
💵 New and expanded property tax credits for partially disabled and wartime veterans
📋 Transitions existing deductions into tax credits to provide direct relief

The legislation is expected to provide an estimated $46.2 million in additional tax relief beginning with taxes payable in 2027. 🏡
