UPDATE - The water is back on, and Bristol Avenue is open to traffic.

UPDATE - For the safety of our crews and the large size of the excavation, Bristol Avenue will be closed between Hembred Street to Cedar Creek Subdivision.

There is a water main break at Bristol Avenue and Powell Drive - Residents on Bristol from Hembred Street to Miller’s cider mill and along Powell Drive are without water until the repair is made. Boil order notices will be distributed to the homes affected.

Traffic is restricted to one lane on Bristol Avenue near Powell Drive.

Today is the day! Please join us TONIGHT at 6:00pm in Grace Lawn Cemetery for the Memorial Wall Dedication ceremony. Please enter using the East drive and park in the grassy area. Please bring a lawn chair as well. We anticipate the dedication ceremony to last 1 hour. Thank you to all those who helped make this project come to life to honor those Veteran's currently laid to rest within Grace Lawn Cemetery and for those in the future.

As Fall Festival activities are about to begin, this is a reminder that pedestrian safety is everyone's responsibility. Please be on the lookout for extra pedestrian traffic and be patient during this time as it may cause traffic to back up slightly. Pedestrians should only be crossing at designated crosswalks.

Veterans Memorial Wall Dedication on Friday, September 11 at 6:00pm at Grace Lawn Cemetery - We hope that you plan to join us and here are a few logistics for the evening:

- Enter the east drive and parking will be in the open grassy area. There will be parking attendants to assist you.
- Parking areas will be provided for motorcycles and handicap closest to the memorial wall.
- There will be some chairs provided; if you are able, please bring along a bag chair. We anticipate the dedication ceremony to take approximately one hour.
- After the event, please follow the connector roads to the exit roadway. Our Middlebury Police Department will be assisting with the flow of traffic after the dedication.
- A side note - There are a lot of bees, and we will try to take some measures to distract them. However, please plan accordingly, especially if you are allergic.

Fall Festival is just around the corner! Join us on Friday for vendors and activities in Memorial Park and East Park. Friday evening, head over to Grace Lawn Cemetery for the Veteran Memorial Wall Dedication. At dusk, bring your lawn chair and find a spot at Essenhaus to watch the FIREWORKS! Saturday, find us at Memorial Park for breakfast and East Park cheering on the runners in the Rise'n Roll Run! Finish your afternoon off with more vendors and activities at the parks as well as live music! Contact the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center with questions!

A huge THANK YOU to Superior Borders for installing the concrete borders for the landscaped areas at the Veterans Memorial Wall. The concrete borders look great!!
