The Parks is putting on a concert at Riverbend with Southside Denny (and food trucks!) this Friday -- don't miss it!

This is part of the Middlebury Parks brand new Music in the Park series this summer, and we'll be partnering with them on the July 17 show with One Lane Bridge!

In this guided adventure with Goshen College's Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center, we'll explore how soil, plants, and animals work together to shape the planet we call home. Let’s dig deeper, get our hands “dirty” in the discovery of compost, and uncover the wonders the earth holds!

Wednesday, July 8th, 11am; no need to register; open to learners of all ages.

THIS TUESDAY! Join us for an evening of storytelling to honor those who have served our country and community, followed by a reception with refreshments. We've got a great line-up of stories for you: about old Doc Teeters, how Doug Weaver was awarded a Silver Star in the Vietnam War, and about William Tufts, a Bristol local who was part of the Boston Tea Party during the Revolutionary War.

We're looking for more stories, so if you'd be willing to tell one, give us a call (574-825-5601), or just show up on Tuesday!

Come experiment with food and find new recipes at our monthly cookbook club! Every month we cook a dish or two together from that month's cookbook and then share a meal. You don't need to read the cookbook beforehand; we'll have a copy available for you to peruse during this program and the library provides all the ingredients. In July, we're celebrating the USA's 250th birthday and looking back through American history with the Smithsonian's American Table cookbook.

It's almost America's 250th birthday! Celebrate with a Friday afternoon screening of Hamilton. We'll have popcorn and drinks to complete the theater experience.

Here's a hint for all you dino-heads out there: This dinosaur lived in the Cretaceous Period, about 66-68 million years ago. Any guesses?
