Middlebury Model United Nations Chartered in 1999, MiddMUN is the Model UN organization for the Middlebury College campus in Middlebury Vermont, USA.

MiddMUN is the MUN organization for the Middlebury College campus in Middlebury Vermont, USA. The group first received its campus charter in 1999 and has been running ever since. We are an accomplished team, having won several awards in the North American circuit. On campus, we host regular debates during weekends pertaining to current political issues or older ones. Weekly meetings are held as we

ll to help debaters improve their skills. Beyond a forum for discussion of international affairs, we are a social group, helping students to network between one another and compete at various schools across the continent. We hold a constitution and a collegiate mandate to be a forum on campus.

Happy United Nations Day!

There are various comments to made about the UN, some good and some bad. However, The Middlebury Model United Nations team would like to extend the conversation to the ability to discuss. The ability for nations or people of different background to come together and recognize the ideas and desires of other countries was hardly an ability before the UN charter. Today, we appreciate the mobility of the international community to come together and foster communication even if solutions get lost in preambulatory clauses.
