Today we take a moment, a moment to remember all those lives lost not only 25 years ago, but those lives we have lost since, and continue to do so. The heroes that ran in and the people who just started their day as they always did. 25 years and the scars remain. We wish all those affected, peace. We will always remember, we will never forget, we continue to grieve and hold you in the highest honor.

Twenty five years ago today, we witnessed one of the most horrific attacks on American soil since Pearl Harbor. Twenty five years ago, many ran and the bravest ran towards it. Firefighters, law enforcement and EMS. Dr. Ken Testa was one of those who in this hour of need, ran towards it. Not because he was asked or told, because he had to. Today, he continues to run towards those dangers as one of our own Huntersland firefighters and we can't be prouder to call him one of our own. The bombing rippled out to touch all New Yorkers, who responded with bravery, generosity and a deep sense of community. How the city's longest day brought forth its finest hour.

It is with great pride that the Huntersland Vol. Fire Department was able to come home from the Schoharie County Sunshine Fire with a trophy for 1st place in the best appearing apparatus. We appreciate not only the opportunity to show off the new 9041, but also the ability to be part of the 150th anniversary.

The rain didn't hold us off, and didn't stop so many of you from coming out and supporting us, including all the outside help from Barber's Farm, the membership and volunteers who give their time. We hope everyone enjoyed their day, meal, and time with us. From the bottom of our hearts.....
