We invite you to explore our websites as your schedule and interest permits and hope that you will visit our campuses when the opportunity arises. In Tyler County, we continue every day to open doors of opportunity.

Summer EBT is returning to West Virginia in 2026. Students who are considered automatically eligible will receive SEBT on May 24, 2026. Unsure if your student is automatically eligible for SEBT? Call 1-877-716-1212. https://bfa.wv.gov/summer-ebt

Summer EBT is ran through the state and is not affiliated with Tyler County Schools Breakfast, Lunch and Summer Feeding Programs. The only thing TCS can do on our end is make corrections in WVEIS if there’s a typo that’s somehow holding up your application. If that’s the case, please email [email protected] Amanda Kimble, Director of Child Nutrition.

Over the past three school years, our Communities In Schools teams and school staff have worked together with students and families to reduce chronic absenteeism — and the progress has been incredible.

Communities In Schools staff across West Virginia play an important role in helping students succeed by identifying barriers to attendance and learning, connecting families with resources, providing individualized student support, and building relationships that help students stay engaged in school.

The results in Tyler County show the impact of that work:

Sistersville Elementary: 23.64% → 7.55%
A.I. Boreman Elementary: 14.19% → 7.77%
Tyler Consolidated Middle School: 30.57% → 14.75%

These significant reductions over a three-year period reflect the dedication and teamwork of our students, families, teachers, staff, Communities In Schools coordinators, and community partners. Every day a student is present creates another opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Thank you to everyone who continues investing in our students and ensuring they feel supported, connected, and ready to thrive.

Tyler County Schools successfully conducted a collaborative Reunification Exercise involving school personnel, first responders, student participants, volunteers, evaluators, and community partners.

This exercise provided an opportunity to practice emergency reunification procedures, strengthen communication, and improve coordination between agencies during a simulated emergency situation.

We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of exercise.

Exercises like these are essential in helping us continually improve the safety and preparedness of our schools and community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make today a success!

Tyler County Schools, along with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and emergency management, will be conducting a planned reunification drill on Thursday, May 21st from 7:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Tyler County Senior Center in Middlebourne.

Roads surrounding the Senior Center will be temporarily closed or restricted, and you will see increased emergency vehicle and school bus activity in the area.

There is no real emergency and no danger to the public.

We kindly ask community members to avoid the area during these hours, follow directions from emergency personnel, and help us keep the exercise running safely and smoothly.

This training is an important step in ensuring we are prepared to safely reunite students with their families in the event of a real emergency.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping Tyler County safe!
