•Guide future research, education, and outreach efforts
•Ensure resources are focused where they can make the greatest impact

Remembrance into Action!

This project is made possible through the collaboration of AmeriCorps 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance, West Virginia 4-H, WVU Extension, and our community partners.

Together, we are equipping our Mid-Ohio Valley first responders with tools that bring comfort to children during difficult moments.

Emergency situations can be overwhelming for kids. By donating simple items like coloring books, fidget tools, cards, or Play-Doh, you can help provide comfort when it's needed most.

Collection Period: Now through September 18

Drop-Off Locations: Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood County Extension Offices

WVU Extension in Wood County is sponsoring a Pasture Walk on Thursday, September 10th at 6:00pm at Pleasant View Farm located at 379 south Pleasant Hill Road in Belleville, WV.

Workshop will focus on rotational grazing, establishing & maintaining legumes, plant identification, and stretching the grazing season with stockpiling.

Job Opening: Tyler County Program Coordinator

This position will be housed at the WVU Tyler County Extension Office located in Middlebourne WV. It is a full-time position, Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm with occasional evening and weekend hours required. This position will require teaching both youth and adult audiences and providing programming and educational activities within the county. Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years post-secondary education with experience in youth or family programming. WVU Youth Protection training and a background check are required. Health insurance and retirement benefits are available. Salary to be determined.
