What a great way to kick off the first day back! Yesterday, we welcomed our new staff members to the Middleborough Public Schools family and celebrated the dedication and commitment of our veteran educators.

Here’s to a wonderful school year ahead! We’re so excited to have everyone back and ready for another year of learning, growing, and making a difference.

Important Pickup Patrol Information for all K–5 Families
Families of students in grades K–5 should have received an email from Pickup Patrol. This is the system you will use to indicate how your child will be dismissed from school each day, including:
• Bus
• Parent pickup
• After-school care
• YMCA programs
• Other approved dismissal options

It is extremely important that you open the email and follow the instructions to set up your child’s dismissal plan.

Even if your child takes the bus every day, you must select their bus as the dismissal option so the school knows exactly where they should go at dismissal.

Please complete this process as soon as possible to help ensure a safe and organized dismissal for every student.

MIDDLEBOROUGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS WELCOMES HEATHER GEARY AS DIRECTOR OF PUPIL PERSONNEL SERVICES

Middleborough Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Geary, M.S.Ed., Ed.S., as the district’s new Director of Pupil Personnel Services.
Geary brings more than 20 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, inclusion facilitator, educational team leader, instructional leader, and school and district administrator. Her career has focused on advocating for students, strengthening inclusive practices, supporting educators, and building collaborative systems that improve student outcomes.
Most recently, Geary served as Chief of Student Services at Codman Academy Charter School, where she oversaw student services and supported improvements to special education and multilingual learner programming. In this role, she helped strengthen regulatory compliance, implement a new individualized education program system, support educators through the licensure process, and improve student record and case-management practices.
Geary previously served as Director of Special Education for Wi******er Public Schools and held leadership roles with Boston Public Schools, Randolph Public Schools, Marlborough Public Schools, Saugus Public Schools, Billerica Public Schools, Chelsea Public Schools, and Brookline Public Schools.
Throughout her career, Geary has led program evaluations, developed strategic plans, managed special education budgets and grants, and provided professional learning on topics including individualized education programs, Section 504, student discipline, transition planning, eligibility and assessment, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
“Heather brings extensive experience, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all students,” Interim Superintendent Dr. David L. Thomson said. “Her knowledge of special education programming, compliance, and inclusive practices will be an important asset to our schools. We are excited to welcome her to Middleborough.”
Geary’s leadership philosophy is grounded in equity, collaboration, and systems thinking. She believes sustained progress comes from investing in educators, partnering with families, and developing effective systems that allow every student to thrive.
Please join Middleborough Public Schools in welcoming Heather Geary to the district.

🚌 2026–2027 SCHOOL BUS ROUTES ARE NOW AVAILABLE!

Families should keep the following in mind when reviewing the routes:

• The posted routes show the streets traveled—not every individual bus stop. Drivers have a complete list of students and assigned pickup locations.
• Not every home has a dedicated stop. Buses generally do not travel through developments; students may be assigned a stop near the entrance of the street.
• All bus times are estimates. Please arrive at your stop at least 10 minutes early, especially during the first few weeks of school as routes and times are adjusted.

MECC Families: Students will use a supervised transfer process at the MKG/HBB complex in both the morning and afternoon. Multiple staff members will be present to guide students to the correct bus.

Bus assignments can also be found in the Parent & Students Aspen Portal.
