I spoke with kwikcom. They currently plan on hooking up equipment on the tower east of Michigan Valley by the end of the year or very early next year. The standpipe in Sail-A- Way will follow after that.

Work is progressing on the tower.

Our water tower is in need of maintenance work to the inside coating and exterior paint. Work will start on the water tower east of Michigan Valley the week of May 29- June 2. The tower will be drained and pressure to our system will be maintained by a tank connected at the fire hydrant at 213th and Stubbs Rd. We do not expect any problems while work is being done, but if you have questions or low pressure please call.

The District will be cleaning the interior of the water tower this week. This may cause some of our customers to experience low pressure, due to the low water level in the tower. During this work the pumps at the wells will be pressuring the system. Kansas Rural Water Assoc. will be assisting district staff to keep the system running at optimum levels. If you have any questions or low pressure please call.

We have noticed an increase in the amount of water being pumped into our system. This could be an indication of a leak in the system, or on a customers line. Is anyone experiencing a change in their pressure? Please leave a comment if you are.

01/01/2015

Some areas of the District are experiencing low pressure. A problem with the automatic system that controls the pumps was found. Therefore, we will be running our system manually, until repairs can be made. Pressure is expected to return to normal this evening.

More connections are being made today that will cause low pressure in Michigan Valley and to the West of town. We are sorry for the inconvenience our customers, but we hope that these improvements prevent emergency outages in the future.

04/21/2014

The final connection to a line running south out of Michigan Valley is being made this morning. Because of this the southern portion of the district may experience low pressure, this will only be temporary, lines will be back to full pressure as soon as possible.
