A GREAT BIG shoutout to Summers Plumbing, Heating & Cooling!

They went above and beyond by donating an entire pallet of bottled water to our organization — just in time for summer!

Because of their generosity, our participants, families, volunteers, and visitors can stay cool, hydrated, and healthy while they’re learning, growing, and connecting. It’s partners like Summers PHC who remind us what community really looks like: people stepping up, looking out for one another, and making sure everyone has what they need to thrive.

We’re incredibly grateful for this support and for the heart behind it!

Our final GED/HiSET class for the 2025–26 school year will take place on Monday, June 9th.

Classes will resume in the fall as the 2026–27 school year kicks off — and we can’t wait to welcome both returning and new students back into our classroom.

To every student who showed up, pushed through challenges, asked questions, and simply kept going when things got tough — we see you, and WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! Your commitment to your education is powerful, and we’re honored to be part of your journey.

For students wishing to participate in GED/HiSet classes through the summer, the AK Smith Career Center (219-873-2120) will continue to offer classes on:
Monday and Wednesday 9am-1pm
Monday and Tuesday 5pm - 7pm
