ivil and thoughtful dialogue about corporation matters on social media. MCAS will not remove social media comments simply because of disagreement with the school’s viewpoints and/or criticism of the corporation. However, we reserve the right to delete comments that contain:
Content that has nothing to do with the corporation or the post itself
Personal attacks on teachers, students, staff, or other users on the page
Foul language including comments that are inappropriate, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, threatening, or sexually explicit
“Trolling” (offensive or provocative comments with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting angry responses)
Spam or the intent to sell a product or service
Links to external sources that are not related to the corporation or the post itself
Copyrighted material
Political information or campaign materials
Users who violate these guidelines will be banned and/or blocked from the social media page(s) and may be reported to the social media platform(s). This quick update helps ensure we have the most current contact information, medical information, permissions, and transportation needs on file before the new school year begins.

Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account and select Annual Information Update from the left navigation menu.

Ready for summer! ☀️ Today was our fun-filled last day of school: 8th grade kicked off with a special breakfast and hangout time, and after lunch the whole school enjoyed the sunshine with a bounce house and obstacle course from Jump City Time, games, food, music, and Kona Ice. A HUGE thank you to the Parent Involvement Committee for organizing such a wonderful day — and thank you to all staff and parent volunteers who helped out. 🎉 Best of luck to our 8th graders as you head to high school — we’ll see our 7th graders in a few months. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful summer! What was your student’s favorite part of the day? 🌟

🚀 This Saturday! Google Family STEM Day is now open to students in grades 4–8 and their families.

Join us at Barker Middle School for a day of hands-on STEM activities featuring coding, robotics, engineering, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and more.

Big cheers for our Krueger Chorus! 👏 Last night 17 students performed for the Michigan City Area Schools Board of Trustees and gave an incredible concert — full of heart and harmony. 🎶✨ Thank you to every supporter of Krueger’s music programs — you help our students shine. 💙🎤

What a wonderful way to wrap up the year! Today we held our final Student of the Month celebration for March, April, and May. The band opened with our school chant and fight song, then we honored our outstanding students with awards. 🎶🏅

Only a few more days remain in the 2025–2026 school year — enjoy a restful and meaningful Memorial Day weekend with family and friends. 🇺🇸 See you for these last few days together! What memory from this school year will you carry with you? 💬
