❄️❄️ "Congrats" to Berrien County as the recipient of the lower peninsula's first Winter Storm Watch of the 2025-2026 winter season! Lake effect snows from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening (11/9-11/10) could drop as much as 6-12 inches of snow in the region.

When our advisory committee speaks, we listen. There is a local need for a spring academy session, so we will be starting our next session in March instead of May! We look forward to meeting our next recruit class on Monday, March 16th!

Thursday, October 16, 2025 Update***

Latest information is that we anticipate restoring water late Friday or sometime Saturday with potable water expected Monday or Tuesday.

The Boil Order remains in place until further notice.

DRINKING WATER WARNING

The Village of Grand Beach lost pressure and contamination may have occurred

BOIL YOUR WATER BEFORE USING
Due to a drop in pressure in the Village water supply, bacterial contamination may have occurred in the water system. Bacteria are generally not harmful and are common throughout our environment. Corrective measures are currently being undertaken to correct the situation.

What should I do?
DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Continue using boiled or bottled water until further notice.

This boil water notice shall remain in effect until results from the sampling verify the water is safe to drink. Customers will be advised when the boil water order has been lifted.

The Village will be providing updates twice daily; morning and afternoon until the Boil Order is lifted.

**Water Main Update**

**The Village has experienced a Water Main break and it is being addressed now.**
We are hoping to have pressure restored by late afternoon/early evening but nothing is definitive. We will keep you updated with emails and notices on the website as well.

Once pressure is restored, water has to be tested in 24 hour increments so it may be until Sunday before water is potable. Maintenance is working diligently to repair the busted line and we thank you for your patience.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THE VILLAGE OF GRAND BEACH IS UNDER A BOIL ORDER
