The Benner Road temporary signal lights went up today thanks to A&A Safety, Inc.

Crews will be by later today to put up temporary concrete barriers on the north and south side of Benner through this stretch of road.

Wishing you a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received word of their emancipation—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

This is also a time to reflect on the ongoing fight for equality and celebrate different cultures, which can help build human connection and understanding.

Construction has officially begun on the new Chipotle, which will feature a mobile order pickup window. This location is set to open at 255 North Heincke Road, close to the Kroger Marketplace.

Chipotle has more than 4,000 locations in the U.S.

The City of Miamisburg offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, to observe Juneteenth. The Miamisburg Civic Center and other city offices will reopen on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 8 a.m.

There will be no delay in trash and recycling service. Essential services such as police and fire will remain operational.

🚨 ***Traffic Alert*** 🚨
Benner Road will be limited to two-way, one-lane traffic, centered along the road later this week. A culvert on Benner Road has been found to be in a critical state due to the deterioration of its walls. In order to keep the roadway open, traffic management will be facilitated by temporary traffic signals like the one displayed in the picture below.

Over 3,300 vehicles utilize this route daily. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $800,000. The city of Miamisburg plans to apply for funding from the Ohio Public Works Commission to help cover some of the construction expenses.

Work on the culvert is expected to start next year, with a completion date set for Spring 2028.

We understand this could be a major inconvenience for the public and we ask for your patience as we make repairs to the culvert.

🚧 Road closure for two weeks 🚧
CenterPoint Energy is replacing a 20” transmission gas line under Heincke Road in Miamisburg. Open trenching requires the closure of Heincke Road between Sherwood Forest Drive and Wilson Park Drive for up to two weeks, with a detour posted utilizing Sherwood Forest Drive, Elm Street and Wilson Park Drive.

This stretch of Heincke Road is expected to be open on June 29.
