Division of Student and Family Support Programs Title I is the largest federal assistance program for our nation’s schools. It's goal is to provide a higher quality of education for every child.

Miami-Dade County Public School's Division of Student & Family Support Programs / Title I strives to improve the academic achievement of all students attending Title I schools. The program serves millions of children nationwide in elementary and secondary schools each year. In Miami-Dade alone, Title I serves approximately 305 schools, including charter schools. Assistance and resources are also provided to private schools, and other programs. Reauthorized through the No Child Left Behind Act of 2002, (NCLB), the way Title I works is like this. The federal government provides funding to states each year for Title I. The Florida Department of Education sends the money to the District. The school District identifies eligible schools and provides Title I funds. Title I funds are then spent to provide supplemental materials for students, additional teachers, Community Involvement Services, tutoring and other programs. Our Title I Program in M-DCPS takes great pride in providing the best services and resources to our students and their families. For example, some programs and resources, funded in whole or in part, through Title I include the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program, Challenging Higher Education for Students in our Schools (CHESS), Title I Migrant Education Program, Community Partnership for the Homeless and our Neighborhood Resource Center. Miami‑Dade, it’s time to Secure Our Future!

On November 3, 2026, voters will decide whether to renew the Secure Our Future Referendum, and YES keeps the momentum going for our students, teachers, and schools!

💥 Why YES matters:
M‑DCPS is an A‑rated District of Distinction, with a 95% graduation rate, over 33,700 AP students, and the Class of 2026 earning $649 million in scholarships. Our schools are thriving, and the referendum helps keep it that way.

👩‍🏫 YES = Continued support for teachers
The renewal keeps salary supplements for nearly 16,500 instructional personnel, 41% of whom hold advanced degrees and bring an average of 16.5 years of experience to our classrooms.

🛡️ YES = Stronger school safety
A school police officer at every M‑DCPS campus, 18,000+ surveillance cameras, and 30,000+ staff trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid, all supported by referendum funds.

🌍 YES = More innovation & choice
From 93 Cambridge programs, 24 IB programs, and 67,000 magnet students, to 200,000+ students learning foreign languages, YES keeps Miami‑Dade the #1 Magnet District in the nation.

👀 YES = Transparency & accountability
Funds are monitored by the Secure Our Future Advisory Committee, an independent citizens’ oversight group ensuring dollars are spent exactly as voters intended.

📣 Your vote shapes the next four years!

Let’s keep our schools strong, safe, innovative, and thriving!

Vote YES on ballot item #268 to Secure Our Future!
