Every child who walks through the doors of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Ottawa County comes to us during an incredibly difficult time. These children are victims of abuse, and while we can’t change what has happened to them, we can make sure they feel safe, supported, and cared for while they are with us.

When a child walks through the doors of a Children’s Advocacy Center, local professionals are there to provide the direct services that child and family need.

CACO’s role is different.

As Oklahoma’s accredited state chapter of National Children’s Alliance, Children’s Advocacy Centers of Oklahoma works behind the scenes to strengthen the statewide network of Child Advocacy Centers and multidisciplinary teams serving children impacted by abuse.

Our mission is to unite and support child abuse professionals to protect Oklahoma’s children.

That means investing in the people, programs, and systems that make a coordinated response to child abuse possible across our state.

Your support helps CACO:

💙 Provide specialized training for child abuse professionals across disciplines

💙 Offer technical assistance and resources to strengthen CACs and MDTs

💙 Support developing CACs and communities working to expand access to services

💙 Create opportunities for peer learning, collaboration, and professional development

💙 Advocate for the resources, policies, and funding needed to sustain Oklahoma’s child advocacy network

💙 Build statewide partnerships and initiatives that address emerging needs and improve the response to child abuse

CACO does not directly provide forensic interviews, medical exams, victim advocacy, or therapy to children. Instead, we support and strengthen the professionals and organizations across Oklahoma that provide these critical services.

The Ottawa County Child Advocacy Center is proud to stand alongside our local, tribal, federal, and military partners working to protect children and support survivors.

Cases like this remind us why collaboration matters—and, most importantly, of the courage it takes for survivors and their families to come forward.

Blessed beyond measure! We had a great time with Rigs on Route 66 raising money for our kids in Ottawa County this weekend. It was HOT but these guys still showed up for us! Thank you to all the truckers who endured the hot weekend with us, to all the people who came out to see these amazing trucks, and to Steve Huff for putting this show on for us! We’ll see you guys again next year!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
After an emergency board meeting (which consisted of about 37 seconds of serious discussion), we've made the difficult business decision to close The Rendel Agency this Friday for Heritage Fest.

Apparently, insuring things can wait one day... because corn dogs, funnel cakes, and checking out shiny chrome at the Rigs on Route 66 Truck Show (all for a great cause) simply cannot.

We'll be back Monday with full office hours, a little heavier, a little more sunburned, and pretending we didn't spend way too much money on festival food.

If you need us, today or Thursday is your best bet. If not, go enjoy Heritage Fest, stop by the Rigs on Route 66 Truck Show benefiting the Children's Advocacy Center of Ottawa County, and make good decisions... or at least make sure your insurance is paid up before making bad ones. 😉
