The City of Miami Art in Public Places Division is commissioning a permanent public artwork for
the future Plaza ยกAzรบcar! In District 4.
Located at 650 & 652 Beacom Boulevard, Plaza ยกAzรบcar! will be a new public space honoring the
life, music, and cultural legacy of Celia Cruz. Inspired by her lasting connection to Miami, the
plaza will celebrate music, creativity, cultural memory, and community in Little Havana.
Artists are invited to submit qualifications for a site-responsive artwork that explores themes of
rhythm, movement, joy, cultural memory, and community.
Budget: $73,000
Applications are open now.
Deadline to apply: June 25, 2026
