Protect the Paws, a K-9 Cause Protect the Paws...a K-9 Cause! Inc. is a non-profit 501(C)(3) charity based in Miami Fl.

Our mission is to raise funds to donate bullet proof vests to Police K-9's. We have raised funds for 151 vests for 35 law enforcement agencies in 8 states. Suiting up Police K-9's with protective gear has become a national trend
in the last ten years. This special and elite team of law-enforcement officers prove daily, without hesitation, their loyalty and dedication to their partners and commu

nity. Considering the cost of the dog, their training and the handlers, it is senseless to leave them unprotected.

The Benton Police Department would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Protect the Paws… a K-9 Cause for their generous donation of two brand-new ballistic vests for our K9 partners, Ryno and Havoc.

These vests provide an extra layer of safety for our four-legged officers as they serve and protect alongside their handlers.

Today is National Police K9 Day, a day to honor our brave working K9 units and remember the courageous K9 heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Their legacy lives on in every pawprint and every life they’ve impacted. We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.
