🌤️ QUAPAW NATION WEATHER BRIEF
📅 Monday, June 1, 2026

Today's Weather Overview

Hot and humid conditions will continue across the Quapaw Nation today. Afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower 90s combined with high humidity will push heat index values near or above 100°F in some locations.

While most of the day will remain dry, a few isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop late this afternoon and evening, especially across northeastern Oklahoma. Any storm that develops could produce brief heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

⚠️ Main Concern Today
🌡️ Heat Index Values: 100°–105°
💧 Stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon hours.

Looking Ahead

⛈️ Monday Night into Tuesday
Storm chances increase as a weak boundary moves into the area. A few stronger storms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, especially overnight Monday into early Tuesday.

🌤️ Wednesday
A weak cold front brings cooler temperatures and lower humidity, providing a brief break from the heat.

⛈️ Late Week into Next Weekend
Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms return as a more unsettled weather pattern develops across the region.

Quapaw Nation Emergency Management will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates as needed.

Quiet weather will continue across the Quapaw Nation area through much of the weekend, but a few isolated showers and thunderstorms remain possible each day from Friday through Sunday. Most storms are expected to stay below severe limits, although a limited severe weather risk could develop Sunday afternoon and evening if stronger storms form along the dryline.

Looking ahead, confidence is increasing that a much more active weather pattern will develop early next week. Monday into Tuesday currently appears to have the greatest potential for severe weather across eastern Oklahoma and surrounding areas as richer Gulf moisture, warmer temperatures, and a stronger storm system move into the region. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and isolated tornadoes may all become possible depending on how the system evolves.

For today, scattered high-based showers and isolated thunderstorms may develop during the morning and afternoon hours, mainly across northeast Oklahoma. Severe weather chances today remain very low, though brief gusty winds cannot be ruled out with any stronger storm.

Residents are encouraged to remain weather aware this weekend and especially heading into Monday and Tuesday as forecast details continue to evolve. Now is a good time to review severe weather plans, ensure weather alerts are enabled, and monitor forecast updates from Quapaw Nation Emergency Management and the National Weather Service.
