On April 29, 2022, I was ELECTED without opposition! That means I will continue to serve as a Miami-Dade County Court Judge.

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my campaign and encouraged me in any way throughout this election season. I have been blessed and honored by the show and amount of support I have received from people throughout Miami-Dade County. This experience has been a real roller coaster ride, and I could not have gotten through it without you. Being a judge is a tough job and it should be, because judges make important decisions that can impact all aspects of our lives. Knowing this, I do not take it for granted that you have entrusted me with such great responsibility. That is why I put in the work and time that is necessary to get the job done. I am eternally grateful to each and everyone of you and will continue to serve our amazing community honorably. 🙏🏾

Judge Darrough presided over a mock jury trial conducted by 2nd and 3rd year law students from the University of Miami School of Law at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building. The students were graded on their performances for their Litigation Skills Program class. Everyone did a great job! Congratulations to all the students, participants and school faculty and staff for all your hard work this past semester. All your hard work definitely paid off today.

Thank you to Members of South Florida Muslim Community for inviting Judge Darrough to join them at their Ramadan Open House at the Islamic Center of Greater Miami- Miami Gardens Mosque to speak and observe members of the Muslim community pray, break their fast and fellowship over dinner.

Judge Darrough swearing-in one of the newest members of the Florida Bar, Ms. Johneeka Monique Simpson. She is intelligent, driven and an amazing young lady. She’s also a graduate of University of Florida College of Law. It was truly a pleasure for the Judge to meet Johneeka and her lovely family and to have them at the Dade County Courthouse. Tonight, Judge Darrough attended “A Black & Jewish Art Collaboration” hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council and Hampton Art Lovers at the Historic Ward Rooming House in Overtown. The artwork of Marvin Weeks and David Oxios, the panel discussions, and the dialogue from the audience were fascinating and inspiring.
