Our South Dade Waste Water Treatment Plant Dewatering and Thickening Facility is officially complete! One of the largest capital improvement infrastructure investments in our Water and Sewer Dept, this facility will help ensure we no longer have to suffer from terrible biosolid odors in South Dade- a very serious issue we faced not long ago.

I remember being told as baby litigator, rather definitively by my boss at the time, that I’d “lose my edge when I became a mother.” I was pregnant not long after that conversation and quit that job, never looking back.

Becoming a mother not only sharpened my edge, it sharpened my insight, awareness and purpose. Becoming a mother shaped who I am in every way. I mother, raise and care for my children in the image of my amazing mother who has always taught me to be fearless and unapologetic in being me. Thank you mama. I love you to no end.

Happy Mother’s Day to all razor sharp mamas killing the juggling-it-all game and carrying the responsibilities of the world daily! You are amazing!
